MIMBAR TRIBAKTI: Journal of Islamic Studies and Education

Introduction

MIMBAR TRIBAKTI: Journal of Islamic Studies and Education is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. This journal follows the principles, standards, and best practices issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and aligns with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing as required by SINTA and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts should be published based on academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Editors evaluate manuscripts fairly without discrimination and must maintain confidentiality at all stages of the review process. Editors must avoid conflicts of interest and may not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and help authors improve their manuscripts. Reviewers must conduct evaluations objectively, maintain confidentiality, declare conflicts of interest, and identify relevant published work not cited by the authors. Reviewers must not use information obtained through peer review for personal advantage.

Duties of Authors

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, accurate, and properly cited. Authors are required to avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and redundant publication. All listed authors must have significantly contributed to the research and approve the final version of the manuscript. Authors must disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources.

Authorship and Contributorship

Authorship should be based on substantial contributions to research conception, design, data analysis, drafting, or critical revision of the manuscript. Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately. Any changes in authorship require written approval from all authors.

Plagiarism and Originality

All manuscripts submitted to the journal are screened using plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or excessive similarity will be rejected or retracted according to COPE procedures.

Peer Review Process

The journal applies a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, resubmission, or rejection.

Conflicts of Interest

All parties involved in the publication process must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Failure to disclose conflicts may result in corrective action, including retraction.

Ethical Research Involving Humans and Animals

Research involving human participants must comply with ethical standards and include informed consent. Studies involving animals must follow institutional and national ethical guidelines.

Data Sharing and Reproducibility

Authors are encouraged to share supporting data and materials where possible to ensure transparency and reproducibility, in compliance with ethical and privacy standards.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work. Published articles are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA 4.0), allowing reuse with proper attribution.

Handling Complaints and Appeals

The journal follows COPE guidelines in handling complaints and appeals. Authors may submit appeals with clear justification, and editorial decisions after appeal are final.

Post-Publication Discussion and Corrections

Corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern will be issued transparently when errors or ethical issues are identified, in accordance with COPE guidelines.
