Focus and Scope

MIMBAR TRIBAKTI: Journal of Islamic Studies and Education is a scholarly journal that focuses on the development of Islamic studies and Islamic education through conceptual, normative, historical, and empirical approaches. The journal aims to serve as an academic forum for researchers, educators, and practitioners to disseminate research findings and critical reflections that contribute to the advancement of knowledge, educational practices, and social transformation based on Islamic values.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  1. Islamic Studies-This area covers studies of the Qur’an and Hadith, fiqh and usul al-fiqh, Islamic theology (ʿaqidah) and Sufism, classical and contemporary Islamic thought, Islamic law, as well as Islam and contemporary social issues
  2. Islamic Education-This area encompasses theories and practices of Islamic education, curricula and learning of Islamic Religious Education, management and leadership of Islamic educational institutions, educational evaluation, and innovations and transformations in Islamic education at various levels.
  3. Integration of Islam and Knowledge-This area focuses on studies concerning the integration of Islamic values with science, technology, and the humanities, including the challenges of Islamic education in the digital and global era.
  4. Character Education and Religious Moderation-This area includes research and conceptual studies on character building, morality, religious values, religious moderation, and multicultural education within pluralistic societies.
  5. Socio-Religious and Islamic Cultural Studies-This area involves analyses of the interaction between Islamic teachings, local cultures, and social dynamics, including the role of education and religious institutions in social change.
